أعلنت وسائل إعلام عراقية أن عددا من الصواريخ استهدف قاعدة “عين الأسد” العسكرية التي تستخدمها قوات الاحتلال الأمريكي، مشيرة إلى أن الجهة المنفذة ما تزال مجهولة. وأشارت إلى أنه تم إطلاق 8 صواريخ غراد باتجاه القاعدة، فيما شغلت قوات الاحتلال الأمريكي على الفور أنظمة الدفاع الجوي. تشهد المنطقة تحليقا للمروحيات الأمريكية، فيما أشارت وكالات أنباء إلى أن الصواريخ سقطت في محيط القاعدة دون أن تتسبب بأضرار.
